Recently I was listening to a podcast with Greg Harden, who is best know as a performance coach for big name athletes like Tom Brady, Desmond Howard and Michael Phelps.

In the interview he talked about giving 100% in 100% of all you do. While this is an unattainable goal, this attitude will propel you forward in all aspects of life.

Certainly with training, giving it your all is an effort level that is more common and expected. What is not though, is giving 100% to what you do outside of the gym. Examples of this include your sleep, nutrition, conversations, relationships, reading, recovery and many others that can be added to the list.

This coming week, evaluate yourself in each situation you find yourself in and do a gut check to see if you’re giving it 100%. I know I’m going to be doing some introspection and seeing how I would grade myself. Time to be the GOAT of yourself.
