I was at the State Fair this past weekend and happened to be walking past a food stand that sold chicken items. On the signage and surface, it looked like this would be a healthy place to get some food (certainly better than the corn dog stand next to it). As I was standing behind the food vendor stand, the breeze delivering the inviting smell of chicken to my nose. At that point I turned around and I noticed the process of cooking the chicken. While it was being broiled, the cook literally was soaking the chicken in butter with a dispenser constantly while cooking the meat. STRUCTURED REFEED

Was talking to a client this week about how to structure their refeed and thought it would be good to share to the group. First, this is something that I will use as a tool to offset a deficit. So that's the first component, you need to be in a calorie deficit for this to be effective. We specifically increase intake (mainly carbs) with helps boost metabolism by increasing a hormone called leptin. It also helps with muscle retention/gain and let's be honest, is also a psychological boost. The amount, frequency and type varies GREATLY person to person. TUFF DUCKS

Some of you might have saw my post this week on a couple ducks swimming upstream and how I thought this personified so many things that we are all going thru right now. This week I have gotten texts, pics, messages and calls of how people are looking straight into the face of a challenge and taking it head on!! THIS.IS.AWESOME.!
