BIGGER ENGINE

The other day I was talking to a client about the process of improving the metabolism by increasing intake. I used a car analogy (which I find myself doing often). Let’s say you want to increase the amount of power you want to produce in an engine. What do you do?

First, you build the biggest engine you can, maybe modify it by increasing fuel and air flow (bigger pipes). Secondly you add more fuel in the tank as in order to make the car go, gotta have gas. What you don’t do is decrease the amount of fuel as this would surely limit results, eventually running out of gas.

Certainly we don’t want to put in too much fuel, that just runs out of the tank and leaves an undesirable mess.

Your body is the same way. If you want to improve (metabolism/strength/muscle) performance, you build a bigger engine with your physique. We of course do this through training. Then we fuel it properly and provide the right type to get the best out of it.

If you want to maximize your metabolism, keep your internal engine fueled and running at full send.
