THE PERFECT DIET

I get questions often about what I think the 'perfect diet' is. The usual suspects are brought up: keto, carnivore, whole 30, vegan, intermittent fasting, etc. The answer is none but yet some.

Each one of the above structures usually has a theme or focus that it is built around. For example, keto is very low carb, carnivore is animal protein based, whole 30 is whole foods, vegan is vegetables, IF is spreading out meals. Every one of these has a central component that I agree with, but my preference is to take the 'nuggets' out of each and apply them.

This allows someone to adapt and apply the principles to make the best structure for them. As an example: I like a high protein diet including animal sources that maintains a variety of produce with good fat sources not eating too frequently including whole food options.

Each fad diet usually has a solid principle behind it taken to an extreme. Bottom line is extremes are extreme and it comes down to calorie balance along with finding the method that works for your lifestyle and you can adhere to.
