The Long-Game Strategy

If your current fitness strategy is just "eat less and cardio more forever," read this.

Your metabolism is adaptable, but it requires patience and a strategy that goes beyond crash dieting. Real, long-term metabolic health comes down to playing the long game.

Last week I posted about the fact that our metabolisms can change (for the better). I posted a peak massing picture of myself. During this building phase, I was pushing my calories up to yes, build muscle, but also, build metabolism.

● Phase 1 (Building): Fuel your body to add lean tissue, raising your daily energy expenditure.

● Phase 2 (Fat Loss): Shed fat without sacrificing the muscle you’ve worked hard to build.

● Repeat & Refine: Each successful cycle leaves you with more muscle, a stronger metabolism, and better overall health.

In this picture, this is the end result of a fat loss phase. It was effective, but had I not done the first building phase, I would not have been the case.

You don't just want to lose weight; you want to improve your body composition, boost your energy, and set yourself up for sustainable results years down the road.
