Overcoming Training Obstacles

At some point in your fitness career, you are going to run into obstacles.
They come in all shapes and sizes—logistics, career demands, family commitments, or sudden lifestyle shifts.
Right now, I’m navigating one of these phases myself as I work through my shoulder repair.
What are the most common training obstacles?
Injury: Whether it’s a severe setback or just a slight, subtle tweak, an injury can completely disrupt your flow.
Time: Running out of it, or constantly being short on it, is the number one hurdle I hear about.
Limited Equipment: This happens whether you're dealing with a basic home gym setup or a commercial gym that lacks specific machines.
How to train around an injury: The key is to adapt, not quit. You need to train in a way that doesn’t aggravate the affected area but still allows you to hit the rest of your body hard.
When you're working around an injury, machines really shine. While I love free weights, machines allow you to isolate movements safely and keep the tension exactly where you need it without risking further damage.
