Injuries are frustrating, but they don’t have to completely derail your progress.

Even when you do everything right, setbacks happen—what matters most is how you respond.

Here’s how to navigate recovery without losing momentum:

Modify, don't stop: Adjust your weights, range of motion, or exercise selection to keep moving safely without aggravating the injury.

Prioritize recovery fundamentals: Keep mobility going, nail your nutrition (especially protein), drink plenty of water, and get quality sleep.

Stay aware outside the gym: Re-injury often happens during daily tasks like walking the dog or carrying groceries. Know your limits.

Do your physical therapy: Restoring strength and full function goes beyond just becoming pain-free.

Focus on small wins: Track subtle progress like better range of motion or a movement feeling easier than last week.

Control what you can, stay patient, and give your body the time it needs to rebuild strong!
