BREAK RULES

One of the many books on my shelf is “First, Break All The Rules” by Marcus Buckingham. In this book, the author breaks down the importance of being willing to go outside the norm to disrupt the current status quo to push progress forward.

When it comes to our fitness, it's easy to stick with what the current trend is or what we've done in the past. Heck, I even have shirts that say “consistency is a superpower.”


However, as the saying goes, show me your strength and I'll show you your weakness.

Certainly there is value to history, experience and knowing what has worked in the past. But, we shouldn't get so locked into our routine that we are afraid to try new things. Whether it's exercise, nutrition, lifestyle or something completely else, lets not be afraid to get outside our bubble.
