What makes an impact? 5%. I am currently listening to the David Goggins audio book Can't Hurt Me, where he talks about the different 5% makes in one's progress
This can be applied to training of course, as in increasing a weight load or duration of 5%. But it can also be applied in other areas of life. Examples could be giving yourself 5% more sleep time, saving 5% more, spending 5% of your month visiting with your friends and family.
5% might not seem like a big deal, but it is how Goggins explains, you push yourself past your current barriers. It also helps to keep the progress sustainable, which is why the percent increase is not a larger number.
This week I'm going to challenge myself to find my 5% in the things I take on and invite you to do the same.
