So we finally got through the winter and that means spring is here!! Besides more sun and fun, that also means that fruit is coming "in-season"!
One hack is to buy up berries when the price comes down on these seasonal fruits. They are super-loaded with antioxidants and other phytochemicals, plus are low glycemic and a great carb source. Additionally, they freeze GREAT!
Keep your eyes peeled (and share with the group) for the good deals. Take advantage, wash them good, then freeze them things for later in the year to use in smoothies, food mixers or as a combo with some other treat.
